Richmond Center Stage
Richmond Primoid performed exterior restoration, exterior cleaning and tuckpointing at the Richmond Center Stage
Richmond Primoid was pleased to be awarded the contract for exterior restoration to the Carpenter Center portion of the Richmond Center Stage project. The scope includes the exterior cleaning and tuckpointing to the brick and terra cotta mortar joints. The pointing mortar is carefully matched to the original in design, color, aggregate size and strength. Certain pieces of the terra cotta were removed and shipped to Boston Valley Terra Cotta so that new matching elements could be produced and re-set. Other pieces of terra cotta were patched in place with Jahn patching mortar then carefully touched up by an artist to blend with the original. Still other pieces were injected with epoxy to heal the cracks. Foreman Joe Pollick coordinated the repairs assisted by long time mechanic Eddie Langston. Our scope also includes the below grade waterproofing of the new construction as-well-as the horizontal waterproofing over occupied spaces.
