ELASTOMETRIC WALL COATINGS
Exterior surfaces of most masonry walls are vulnerable to weather and water damage and, therefore, require elastomeric coating. By using an elastomeric wall coating, you can rest assured that the walls of your home and business will be well maintained and able to sustain exposure to climate changes with minimal harm.Usually a particularly difficult aspect of waterproofing, wall coating has become a much easier task thanks to elastomeric treatments, which combine many benefits of high-quality acrylic latex paints to produce exterior durability, dirt resistance, as well as facilitated cleanup using water and other cleansing materials. Differing greatly from such paints, however, is the added benefits of the elasticity and flexibility required to withstand the thermal movement of cracks. Paints – whether acrylic or latex – alone, even those of the highest quality, fail to protect masonry walls from cracks developing over time as they are basically inflexible and unable to accommodate climate changes. As such, traditional acrylic paints offer limited protection to most structures.
Over the years, technology has advanced in the field to produce chemicals that are able to endure erratic temperature fluctuations and prevent damage in naturally occurring hairline cracks in masonry walls. Elastomeric coatings are acrylic, water based substances that are effective because of their flexibility and are a much better alternative.
At Richmond Primoid, we have been using elastomeric wall coatings to better protect masonry walls for years, giving us the experience and know-how to carry out such jobs proficiently. We know how to apply the proper elastomeric coating to meet your specific needs for a job that always meets all your requirements.
