WATERPROOFING - EXTERIOR BELOW GRADE

Richmond Primoid has successfully applied various below grade waterproofing systems to foundation walls well over 20 feet deep in the ground. Whether you are protecting a below grade parking garage or computer rooms, we have over 60 years of experience. A successful job is made up of several components.

Foundation Drainage Systems
You need to prevent water from collecting at the footing level. Install a drainage system at the footing. Sometimes conditions require drainage outside the foundation and inside below the floor level.

Fluid Applied or Sheet Membrane
When properly applied, both systems work. A fluid applied is seamless and sometimes more cost effective as the labor cost can be less. Sheet goods have an advantage in that they are uniform in thickness.

Drainage Board
Drainage board is designed to conduct water down into the foundation drainage system as-well-as protect the waterproof membrane from damage during backfill.

Dampproofing
Dampproofing is a minimal preventive measure to keep water from passing through a wall. There several liquid
