THE SOLUTION

The CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System is a custom-fitted, permanent liner used to isolate your home from the earth. It dramatically reduces the humidity level in the air, which will reduce or in most cases, eliminate mold growth, rot, and critters from your crawl space.



Preparation includes removal of wood and organic materials from your crawl space floor and, depending on the crawl space conditions, leveling of uneven surfaces. Next, our trained installers carefully cut and install the CleanSpace liner--a heavy 16 mil thick material similar to a pool liner. 
The liner is manufactured in 7 layers--a blend of high density polyethylene, low density polyethylene, and two layers of polyester cord reinforcement--black on one side and white on the other. The white finished side brightens a crawl space with the available lighting and allows you to easily see that your crawl space is free of mold, insects, and dirt.
The CleanSpace liner is permanently secured to the top of your crawl space walls with nylon fasteners and the top edge of the liner is sealed to the walls with polyurethane sealant. It is sealed around objects such as pipes, columns, and piers with a combination of sealants or concrete and seams are sealed with special 4-inch wide sealing tape and/or sealant made for the CleanSpace liner.



The CleanSpace liner not only isolates your home environment from the earth, it is tough enough for you to crawl on without worry of putting holes or tears in the liner. The result is an attractive, bright, tough, impervious liner--in fact, workers often work in stocking feet once the floor is laid out-- an indication of just how clean your crawl space will be.
